JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Deportes is looking for a Director of Technical Operations to join their team. This role must work closely with the Head of Engineering and the Director of Operations at our FOX Deportes Studios and govern all technicalities within our broadcast environment. You will play an essential role in the success of daily productions and be the liaison between the VP of Production, Director of Operations, and technical crew. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day logistical workload of technical operations for the FOX Deportes Production department and overseeing logistics, technical and operational needs for all remote productions including organizing and executing all technical operations on-site for FOX Deportes' major events such as MLB World Series, Superbowl, PPV PBC Boxing, Liga MX finals etc.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work side by side with the Director of Production in a seamless fashion to meet all of the production and operations needs
• Coordinate with FOX Sports Operations department and FOX Deportes studios ensuring all technical needs for FOX Deportes - includes feeds, PCRs, studios, on-site coverage
• Collaborate and foster relationships with operations staff of major sports franchises including NFL, Liga MX, MLB, NASCAR, and MLS
• Make certain all productions meet network technical operations standards - ensuring the best possible product for air
• Communicate with the other production arms of FOX Deportes in Mexico and Central America
• Assess the programming needs of the networks and any special projects required by the Vice President or other departments
• Assign work to the Production department and systemize the workflow assisting with maintaining workload balance and ensuring efficient and effective processes and procedures
• Create effective systems of communication within the department, as well as with other FOX's Engineering and Operations departments
• Negotiate rates and works closely with out-of-house production companies that produce content for FOX Deportes
• Ensure that outside vendors meet all established production standards
• Improve the flow of information, establish synergy, and minimize errors
• Experience with upkeep, maintenance, and tracking of equipment necessary for field productions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 8+ years of experience in TV production
• Native/ Near-native Spanish written and spoken proficiency/ English
• In-depth knowledge of television technical operations and production
• Live sports production experience and live studio show experience
• Extensive knowledge of production equipment functionality including video switchers, audio consoles, and video transmission solutions
• Successful track record owning production budgets which include forecasting, tracking, and generating cost-efficient solutions
• In-depth knowledge of European, international, and domestic soccer and news
• Experience with managing a large group of people and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness and ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to think logically, be detail orientated, respond under stress and tight deadlines
