Associate Writer/Producer - On-Air Promos (FOX Deportes)

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Deportes is looking for a creative Associate Writer / Producer with a passion for sports to join our On-Air Promotions team in Los Angeles, CA. As an Associate Writer / Producer, you will be responsible for general research, logging video highlights, promo customizations, translations, subtitles, music research, voice over sessions, writing scripts, producing promotions for our original sports content across multiple platforms and assisting during video and photo shoots. The Associate Writer / Producer will work closely with creative directors, producers, editors, audio engineers, graphics designers, operations as well as our production, marketing, digital, sales and programming departments. Additional duties include assisting with video campaign shoot set ups, call sheets and bookings, as well as working with vendors, sports properties partners and production associates at FOX, FS1, FS2 and/or other networks during pre-production, production, and post-production of our promotions.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Writing and producing promotions for multiple platforms
• Customizing promotions to our target audience
• Responsible for researching images, clips, music, and footage needed for projects
• Downloading, importing, and exporting projects files
• Investigating information on sports, players, teams and cultural trends
• Researching props, wardrobe, and other necessary items for campaigns shoots - courier runs when necessary
• Assisting Ops Room Producer in gathering, preparing and versioning of graphic and audio files for mastering
• Supporting and/or supervising edit, graphics and audio sessions and finalize versioning and delivery of promos as assigned
• Assisting with off-air deliveries such as FSGO, marketing requests, digital, ad sales, etc.
• Quality control of final deliverables for all your projects
• Organizing and tracking all folders, notes, call sheets, music cue sheets, video / audio files, and materials needed for the pre-production, production, and post-production phases for a given project
• Providing overall production support to creative directors, producers, and project managers for the completion of a promo

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Full professional Spanish, both written and verbal
• 3+ years of experience in Broadcast/Cable television is preferred, preferably in a creative Associate Writer / Producer of On-Air promotions capacity
• Passion for sports, storytelling and producing creative content
• Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing, deadline driven environment and do so with a positive and pro-active attitude
• Excellent creative writing skills
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment is essential
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Capacity to work and travel on occasional weekend or late night on limited notice
• General knowledge of the operation of a television production facility, including pre and post production workflows, and studio and field production
• Experience working with Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and video formats

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Experience or interest in learning how to use cameras and lights
• Bachelor's degree in related studies
