JOB DESCRIPTION
TooFab, a leading entertainment news website, is looking to hire a Photo Associate Producer to edit, create and publish photo galleries on the TOOFAB.com website. This position works closely with the news desk in managing photo content and organizing photo galleries on the highly trafficked site. The Photo Producer should have strong knowledge of social media platforms and excellent photo editing skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced news environment and have a passion for pop culture and entertainment news environments. This position is located in Playa Vista, CA.
Robust communication skills and the ability to flourish in a fast-paced news environment are a necessity. The candidate must be able to take editorial direction and deliver assignments under tight deadlines as well as work independently and enterprise their own ideas.
Familiarity working with content management systems and Photoshop also required.
Responsibilities:
• Working with news desk and clips clearance department to generate galleries
• Create new topical gallery assets for news stories
• Create gallery content with paparazzi agencies and social media sites (big emphasis on social media)
• Resizing photos, watermarking photos, creating launch buttons, generating dummy post, linking art work and formatting mobile platforms
• Repurposing photo galleries to add secondary assets to new stories
• Keeping close records of photos and videos used on a day to day basis
• Contacting outside photo agencies to purchase photo and videos
• Reporting daily and monthly cost sheets to accounting dept.
Requirements:
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop
• Must be highly knowledgeable about pop culture – from TV to movies to politics
• Experience with web content management systems
• Excellent proofreading, written and oral communications skills
• Copy editing
• Working on weekends
• Ability to take editorial direction and function as a part of a
news team

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $18.00-20.00 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
