JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting, including analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide training and oversight of junior Accounting staff as needed
• Monitor the month end and quarter end close accounting close to ensure deadlines are met and all items are recorded
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and analyses, including the Statement of Cash Flows and Balance Sheet
• Financial analyses, including variance analysis and forecasting
• Review and approval of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
• Ongoing review of accounting policies and processes; assist in research, development and implementation of new or updated company policies and processes
• Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
• Drive company initiatives and lead projects

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA or CPA path preferred
• 4+ years of general accounting experience
• Full understanding and experience with general accounting, strong financial analysis skills required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Familiarity with media industry a plus
