JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Field Technician to join the Tucker Carlson Team at Fox News. As a Field Technician, you will be provided countless opportunities to work with field photographers and editors, field producers, satellite truck operators, engineers, and high-level talent. You will be dedicated to the Tucker Carlson Unit within Fox News Media and work on several high-level projects in the field. There is an emphasis on achieving the highest production value, and you should have an eye for bringing cinematic filming and editing to each project you are assigned.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform basic ENG field photography
• Set up single camera and multiple cameras
• Set up audio for single and multiple cameras
• Set up basic lighting for long formats and some news gathering
• Perform non-linear editing and grow your skills in documentary-style editing
• Safely drive company-owned and rental vehicles

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum of three (3) years newsgathering experience
• Experience with video photography and non-linear video editing
• Experience with lighting technologies, microwave trucks, and satellite news gathering vehicles
• Varied technical TV media experience that will translate well into the fast-paced field newsgathering environment
• ​Proficient in mixing live remotes with IFB communications
• Working knowledge of field audio mixers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with field photographers, satellite truck operators, engineers, field producers and reporters/hosts
• Ability to mix and route audio for multiple camera shoots
• Ability to multi-task in the field
• Ability to work a nonstandard work schedule, including overtime and weekends
• Flexibility to book last minute travel for breaking news
• Willing to expand his/her knowledge of all aspects of field production including satellite truck operations
• Willingness to be trained to drive a larger vehicle
• Must have a clean driving record
