JOB DESCRIPTION

The Consumer Products & Engineering (CPE) team is seeking highly motivated, self-starting Content Operators to support the publishing and management activities for various FOX networks, products, platforms, and partners. You will cross-train on a variety of tasks including the execution of various content publishing/QA/editorial activities, schedule management, and live operations support. You are essential to providing our audience a great experience every time they press play.
Our mission is to ensure live streams and full episodes are delivered at the highest quality, published on time, every time, and fulfill our promise to be ''Better than TV.'' Candidates must have proven experience working independently, problem-solving with minimum support resources, and championing for quality of the experience on behalf of customers. This entry-level position is an operational role and in order to meet the needs of the content calendar, requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will be offered the following shift: Wednesday thru Sunday, 12pm-8pm ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Publishing/QA/Editorial
• Manage series/events and publishing of long-form content
• Initial QA of video, audio, CC, & ad break locations
• Confirm successful processing thru workflow & monitor system health
• Work with fulfillment partners for on-time asset delivery
• On-device QA after go-live
• Content management & editorial execution across all apps and platforms
• App/system monitoring and active troubleshooting or escalation
• Troubleshoot and correct content related issues
• Develop robust understanding of FOX digital publishing workflow
• Work closely with stakeholders across the company to support in-app initiatives

Program Scheduling & Listing Management
• Work with network programming, scheduling, and production companies to gather detailed event information
• Manage public-facing schedules for all live events - including sports, news, and entertainment
• Review/audit/correct various schedules and listings for accuracy
• Create detailed documentation for potential schedule variances for internal teams
• Coordinate and schedule a variety of contingency, bonus and social content
• Work with the NOC and TOC to schedule transmission routes within Fox's various facilities and partners
• Work with distribution team to organize and manage MVPD authorizations and distribution areas

Live Operations Support
• Ensure the proper video sources are routed to the respective encoders for the scheduled programs and events
• Confirm blackout rules, program regionalization, and live policies are applied correctly and troubleshoot as needed
• Monitor video, audio, and captioning standards for all live streams/events
• Confirm proper metadata is associated to programs prior to live events

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Some experience with creative tools such as Adobe Photoshop
• Proficient with productivity tools such as Excel, Google Sheets/Docs, etc
• Ability to provide flexible work availability which may include nights, weekends and holidays
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with an eye for quality
• Attention to detail in performing data analysis and data entry
• Self-motivated & a natural problem-solver with strong analytical skills
• Passion for TV

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Associate degree (or higher) in related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of various publishing, metadata, and/or productivity tools is a plus, including: MPX, VDMS Uplynk, Jira/Confluence, Gracenote, Aspera, Quip, BOX/DropBox, Splunk, PagerDuty, AWS
• Knowledge of Sports, News, and/or Entertainment industry business practices
