Job Description
FOX59 is searching for a producer for our hour-long Lifestyle Show. The style of the show is segment and interview-based, highlighting events and unique storytelling here in Indianapolis and the surrounding communities. A college degree in broadcasting or related major is preferred with at least 1-2 years' experience. Familiarity with ENPS and Adobe Premier Editing System is a plus, but not required.
• Responsibilities:
• Produce lifestyle show
• Writes and orders news stories
• Approves scripts
• Balances feature content to create compelling shows
• Edits video
• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one year experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
