Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Director to join one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing
integrated public relations and marketing firms in the world. We provide a unique opportunity: the ability to
contribute your passion, energy, and talents in an entrepreneurial environment while collaborating, learning,
and advancing your career alongside an exceptional global team
This is a senior leadership role for a communications professional who combines creativity, commercial
instinct, and cultural fluency. This individual will lead strategic communications and brand storytelling for our
esteemed portfolio of hospitality, F&B, design, and lifestyle clients, shaping insight‑driven, culturally relevant
campaigns with measurable business outcomes.
This is both a hands‑on leadership role – driving high‑impact campaigns, nurturing client relationships, and
mentoring a team of communications specialists – and a strategic growth role, helping evolve our firm in
Hong Kong and across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Communications
• Drive the development of communication strategies across key sectors (travel, hospitality,
health/wellness, lifestyle, etc.), grounded in research and data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with other members of the senior leadership team to strengthen FINN's market presence, improve processes, and continually elevate client delivery.
• Identify and lead opportunities to create original research, thought leadership, surveys, and market studies that position FINN as an industry voice.
Business Development
• Build and expand your own book of business, targeting profitable potential clients that complement FINN's core strengths and sectors.
• Lead end-to-end business development efforts including prospecting, client meetings, proposal development, pitching, negotiation, and closing.
• Create and deliver compelling proposals and RFP responses, collaborating with the broader team to ensure ideas and approaches meet client needs.
• Negotiate budgets, scopes, and contracts to ensure profitable growth and long term client value.
• Represent FINN at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, helping elevate the agency's profile and reputation in the region.
• Establish and foster strong relationships with prospective clients, media, and industry stakeholders to strengthen FINN's brand visibility and trust.
Client Service & Account Leadership
• Oversee account and pipeline forecasting, account planning, and performance reviews across your client portfolio.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients, providing strategic counsel and proactive solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and profitability targets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Provide senior guidance on issues and crisis management, including rapid response planning, risk assessment, and reputation protection strategies.
• Manage multiple accounts and campaigns simultaneously, ensuring consistent quality, responsiveness, and innovation.
• Lead the strategic development of campaigns, ensuring they are insight-driven, earned-first, and creatively distinct.
• Review and approve key agency outputs - including press materials, campaign concepts, and proposals - ensuring strategic and editorial excellence.
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor the team, setting priorities, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring timely execution against client briefs.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to help team members grow professionally.
• Encourage cross-client collaboration within the agency, identifying opportunities for shared initiatives
Media & Industry Engagement
• Build and maintain a robust network of media, influencer, and industry contacts to create opportunities for client visibility.
• Oversee media relations strategy, ensuring campaigns secure impactful, on-brand coverage across traditional and digital channels.
• Represent the agency in media and industry conversations, reinforcing FINN's reputation as a leader in PR and brand communications.
Continuous Learning & Innovation
• Keep abreast of emerging communications, marketing, and digital trends - integrating new tools and approaches into client work.
• Proactively share market intelligence and insights with colleagues and clients to inform forward-looking strategies.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of FINN's product offerings and capabilities across PR, social, influencer, and branding.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 15 years' experience in PR, brand communications, or integrated marketing, ideally within an agency environment.
• Proven ability to lead senior level client relationships across multiple markets and sectors.
• Ability to plan and execute multi-stakeholder, strategic communications on behalf of clients, working closely with international offices and colleagues across different time zones
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong and regional consumer culture, and demonstrable experience
building brands through earned, social, and influencer channels.
• A strategic thinker and storyteller able to translate insight into creative, commercially grounded
campaigns.
• Background in corporate communications is advantageous: leading corporate communications strategies for clients, developing and managing the company identity and brand; developing and managing external communications; and crisis communications
• Excellent presentation skills and adept at building brand strategy presentations and proposals
• Strong business development instincts - able to identify growth opportunities, build new client
relationships, and lead pitches that expand the agency's portfolio.
• Confident managing teams and developing talent.
• Fluent English required; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred.
