Responsibilities:
of the Director, UX Research at Fandango could include, but are not limited to:
• Manage one UX researcher
• Work with design, product management, marketing, and others to formulate and address user research questions.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, analytics and other stakeholders to create a holistic understanding of our users and their product experiences.
• Develop a clear understanding of the motivations of our current & future customers.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative UX research studies for internal clients from start to finish and deliver timely and concrete findings, along with prioritized recommendations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships between the research department and other functional areas of internal stakeholders.
• Deliver research insights in a form that is compelling, easily understood, and actionable.
• Advocate research results and insights in creative & interesting ways.
• Presenting to senior level executives.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelors Degree required
• 8+ years of experience in user (or market) research for an entertainment company, startup, tech company, or digital agency
• Previous experience managing teams required
• In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles, methodology and best practices
• Deep knowledge of a range of qualitative research methods (methodologies may include surveys, moderated focus groups and in-depth interviews, lab and remote usability testing, and card sorting.)
• Capable of choosing the appropriate method for a given research question and time frame
• Strong customer service skills, experience effectively interacting with a diverse team of people and a team player
• Must be a proactive thinker, highly organized, and flexible that can handle multiple projects and responsibilities at once and meet tight deadlines
• Strong report writing and presentations skills.
• Experience with research tools such as UserTesting.com, UserZoom, Qualtrics, etc.
• Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
