Job Description
The Director role will oversee brand marketing for the Fandango portfolio of products (Fandango Ticketing, Vudu, and Rotten Tomatoes). The position will focus on setting our brand marketing strategy by identifying key markets and segments, developing unique value propositions, and aligning brand positioning and messaging to drive customer growth and engagement. The position will work closely with teams across the business to develop go-to-market plans supporting the launch and rollout of new features and services, drive programming & marketing stunts and activations, and own evergreen customer engagement programs. This role will also work closely with the Partner Marketing team (who oversee all studio title-level marketing) to identify portfolio-level promotional opportunities like stunts, promotions, themes and events. Additionally, the Director will work closely with the VP of Marketing to develop and launch brand campaigns across linear and non-linear channels (in partnership with the internal Creative teams) and work with the synergy teams to amplify efforts across the portfolio.
Specifically, the Director of Brand Marketing will:
Responsibilities:
• Work with the VP, Marketing to develop quarterly and annual brand campaigns for linear and digital channels within the NBCU ecosystem as well as paid media.
• Work closely with the film & customer lifecycle marketing team (who oversees all theatrical-title-level campaigns) to package content into larger stunts and campaigns to drive customer account growth and ticket sales (Fandango) and home entertainment purchases and rentals (Vudu).
• Own the brand strategy for the Fandango portfolio of products, including positioning, brand voice, messaging hierarchy and feature-level rollouts across owned platforms and paid media campaigns.
• Work closely with product & technology to maximize customer awareness of new features and programs that drive further adoption and usage of our products.
• Work in partnership with 3 marketing centers of excellence
• Digital: work closely with the performance marketing team to establish acquisition and engagement plans across digital marketing channels
• Comms: work closely with the comms team to amplify marketing activities through all PR and Publicity activities.
• Creative: work closely with a full-service internal marketing team as well as external agencies to develop creative executions supporting the annual marketing plan.
• Leverage customer insights, competitive intelligence and data analytics to translate business goals into marketing strategies.
• Serve as a connector and trusted partner between Sales, Account Management, Product, Customer Success and Marketing, working closely with business leaders to translate business objectives into impactful marketing strategies and plans to acquire and retain customers.
• Continually monitor the strategic planning process and identify efficiencies and opportunities to optimize.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• 10 years of marketing leadership experience with a track record of proven success, ideally with deep entertainment industry experience
• Proven record of managing a sizable budget and building marketing programs at scale.
• Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast-paced environment. Interacts well with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to marry insights & data with storytelling, narrative development, and messaging.
• High-achieving, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere.
• Ability to act as an internal advocate for projects and engage appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation.
• Entrepreneurial approach with an adaptable, change-oriented mindset.
• Strong command of communication skills and ability to operate across various levels of the organization
• Proven ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, exhibit strong listening and feedback skills

• Ability to easily capture business requirements from the internal customer and communicate those needs to project team members including developers, project managers, IT staff and management

Additional Job Requirements
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
• Must be willing to work in the Los Angeles, CA office.
