We are looking for an experienced Senior Talent Relations Specialist that will be responsible for independently conducting and documenting investigations that surround incidents that occurred with background actors. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who can exercise good judgment and handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism. This role is client and background actor interfacing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be familiar with and enforce the Company’s anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and anti-retaliation policies.

· Demonstrate operative knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures.

· Have operative knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws governing employment issues, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws.

  • Assess complaints that may come in and determine which require investigation.
  • Conduct and document investigations into complaints of harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation.
  • Prepare written summaries of interviews as well as investigation summaries and, in conjunction with Human Resources, resolve complaints whether through disciplinary action or other measures.
  • Manage the background actor counseling/disciplinary action process, including assessing and determining the appropriate level of counseling/disciplinary action for each situation that arises.
  • Respond to background actor’s concerns and complaints in a way that is timely, appropriate, and respectful.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Casting Directors, Legal, and Risk Management to proactively address needs as they arise.
  • Manage and maintain background actors’ employment files, which may include reported occurrences regarding attendance, client service issues, as well as violations of company policies and procedures.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Central Casting’s registration and casting processes.
  • Be responsible for background actor file maintenance in adherence with the company's document retention process.

· Present comprehensive oral and/or written updates regarding findings and investigation status to HR Business Partners, Legal, and other business partners.

· Conduct anti-harassment training for Central Casting’s background actors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

· 5+ year’s Employee Relations experience, preferably in an entertainment, hospitality, retail or other service environment, that includes hands-on EEO Investigations experience.

· 5-7 years in a Human Resources Role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations of potentially unlawful behavior, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • Experience delivering high-quality oral and written work product, including investigation summaries and recommendations, witness interviews, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior attention to detail, and the ability to organize and express ideas clearly.
  • Film/television industry experience is not required; although, it is a plus.
  • Highly flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
  • Excellent client service/people skills, as well as the ability to work with many different personalities in a proactive way.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Supporter of company procedures and values.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where time is of the essence.
  • Ability to stay current on and informed about state and federal EEO laws.
