Production Technology Solutions Specialist (12-month contract)

Description of role

The Production Technology Solutions Specialist reports into the Global Support Services organization at eOne. As part of the broader eOne IT Technology Team, you work in a hybrid environment with our Film and TV Production teams to assist and provide guidance related to any new and existing technologies used for production purposes. Ability to quickly understand priorities and shift in a rapidly changing creative environment is essential. Great opportunity to learn and grow within the Entertainment industry.

Main responsibilities
• Subject matter expert regarding technologies in use within the Film and TV production divisions
• Provide guidance to the production teams relating to company standards/processes
• Work closely with the Film and TV Production teams to understand future pipeline requirements where technology may be required to support business needs
• Primary point of contact within the Technology Support organization related to any production technology related queries
• Remain current on the various specialized technologies required for Film and TV production
• Provide system/application administration support
• Act as primary point of escalation with various technology vendors
• Periodically review and recommend implementation of new hardware, software and/or processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Film and TV productions
• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors in the media production space
• Develop and maintain a global asset register of all media production technologies across eOne
• Create & maintain required documentation.
• Assist with local and global projects/initiatives.

Key competencies/Requirements
• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in computer science or equivalent
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
• Positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to learn.
• A good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Firewalls).
• Experience with or an understanding of the following desirable:
• Microsoft Office 365 including Teams and OneDrive
• AVID Nexis Environment
• AVID Media Composer
• Adobe Creative Cloud suite
• Cloud file storage solutions (e.g. Box)
• Understanding of production processes an asset
• Window and MacOS platforms
