Accounting Project Resource, Film & TV Finance (12 month contract)

Position Summary:

This role will play a critical role in the Finance Transformation Project and will help to validate and migrate data from legacy systems to the end state solution.

Responsibilities:
• Chart of Account mapping of legacy ERP systems to the COA of end state solution
• Mapping of Dimension values of legacy ERP systems to the end state solution
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders at all levels within Finance and across the business for input to COA and dimension values of the new model
• Make recommendations as see fit to modify COA and dimension values of the end state solution
• Work with the project team to consider and recommend changes to structure and procedures that enable simpler, more standardized mapping and validation of data from legacy systems to the end state solution
• Work with the eOne business to source and provide eOne data and accounting artefacts required by the core project team (for example, things such as: a list of current dimensions used, a list of accounts, current accounting policies, sample copies of reports, etc.)
• Provide solutions to resolve issues and reconcile conflicting priorities among the stakeholders
• Contribute to future state design aspects from a COA and reporting perspective
• Communicate status, risks and issues to Project Leads Support and help with knowledge transfer in this area - within the project team, and to the end users
• Validation of transformed data against source
• Upload of transformed data to end state solution
• Validation of uploaded data back to source data and legacy reporting

Key Competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in accounting required
• Previous experience working with ERP implementation projects (mapping of Chart of Accounts from legacy ERP systems to the COA of new ERP)
• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• High level of proficiency in Excel (skill will be tested at interview time).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics an asset
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, multi-tasking and execution skills
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
