Position Summary:

As Director, Finance TV Content, you will have overall financial responsibility for eOne TV series and development – both scripted and unscripted with accountability for reporting including revenue recognition, accruals, production accounting, and analysis for the TV Production business stream. Reporting into the VP Reporting, Film and TV Content, you will be responsible for providing leadership to three direct reports (Managers, Finance) and three indirect reports. You will build relationships with various Operational teams and serve as key member of the senior Film & TV Finance team.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Review revenue recognition, accounting, analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and related foreign exchange transactions for both Scripted and Unscripted business streams within production accounting
• Evaluate and interpret production structures to create and update production accounting templates to ensure best practices are followed by production finance team
• Implement consistent accounting policies across productions in various regions to ensure timely and meaningful analysis
• Identify, implement and evolve process to consolidate and record results of production companies
• Ownership of monthly variance analyses for management reporting (actuals vs. budget & forecast)
• Work closely with Production Financing teams to ensure an efficient close and proactively address any accounting issues
• Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls, gain efficiencies and standardize business practices
• Provide leadership and supervision to Unscripted and Scripted finance staff

Experience and Qualifications:
• 10 years' experience of experience in finance position in Media/Entertainment industry
• Bachelor's Degree Required in Finance, Accounting and professional accounting designation (CPA) is required
• Television Production accounting experience is preferred
• Highly organized with strong project management skills, and drive to meet organizational and departmental objectives
• Ability to create and build strong working relationships across divisions and functions
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary. Expert level Excel skills required
• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and with tight and multiple deadlines
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Attention to detail in all areas of work
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, delivers and follow instructions, and possess an attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
