News Talk 830 WCCO has a big job for a big player! Minnesota's most trusted news radio brand, is seeking a uniquely talented individual to oversee and direct the WCCO Radio brand and programming on all public facing channels as our next Brand Manager.

The successful candidate will lead a brand evolution on-air and on-line, growing audience and reach on all media platforms.

We seek a fearless leader able to coach high-caliber talent to optimum performance. A strong collaborator with exceptional creative thinking skills. A person that can maintain product integrity while working closely with sales to grow revenue.

The successful candidate must be able to manage an award-winning newsroom and relationships with major league sports franchises.


• Excellent people skills.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience managing strong media personalities.
• Proven success growing ratings, increasing digital audiences and reach.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in business affairs, including contract negotiation for play by play sports, program licensing, and talent.
• A passion for news, with knowledge of the evolving news media landscape.
• Passion for Minnesota sports is a plus.
• Experience managing union employees.
• Bachelors degree preferred.

The Brand Manager is responsible for protecting the brand, our licenses and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations.
Special consideration to candidates with a successful record brand-building in Radio/TV, Cable TV, Media, or Digital platforms.

A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and, if the position requires the use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.
