Afternoon Drive Producer / Board Operator

Job Description

WTIC NewsTalk 1080, Connecticut's premiere NewsTalk radio station is looking for an energetic, news fanatic to join our team.

Primary responsibilities will be working with our Afternoon Drive Host, suggesting, researching and scheduling guests for the afternoon drive show and running the board during that show.

Responsibilities will also include:
• Running the board during syndicated shows
• Producing segments
• Maintaining the portions of the WTIC web site specific assigned shows
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must:
• Have a passion for News
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Be a team player
• Be a problem solver
• Work well under pressure and be able to multi task.
• Have prior experience in running a radio board.
• Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.

Hours of position are Monday – Friday (exact hours TBD) and Saturday 11am – 4pm.
