POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is energetic and an intuitive marketing, media, and sales strategist with exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills. Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate new and existing revenue streams. He or She will be experienced in strategic marketing budgeting, planning, branding, and business development. As well as be adept in online and traditional marketing, and highly skilled in visual communications.

This individual will have significant impact in growing the profitability of assigned PBR Tour events, as well as driving corporate performance and revenue for the PBR. In addition to being tasked with planning, executing, and managing a team to achieve PBR's objective of driving profitable revenue growth, the Senior Director – Live Event Marketing will have duties including, but not limited to: outreach to community leaders and businesses, maximizing PBR's presence in the market by driving audience demographic exposure, increasing ticket sales/group sales/sponsorship/non-traditional revenue streams, develop/budget/implement/administer business plans for assigned events, and cultivate/manage/grow new and existing relationships.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President – Tour Marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide strategic oversight and leadership to increase profitability for assigned markets as well as meeting/exceeding budget expectations
• Responsible for the full marketing planning and execution of 8+ PBR Tour Live Events from start to finish across the PBR Unleash the Beast and Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tours
• Develop, present, and execute comprehensive and clearly defined revenue-based business plans that accelerate and achieve aggressive, profitable revenue goals
• Implement a comprehensive marketing, media and promotional plan that utilizes, leverages, and maximizes the following: research, media planning and buying, media/3rd party/partnership/sponsor/community promotions, PBR internal assets such as social, digital, live event, editorial and TV through CBS and Pluto TV
• Manage, direct, mentor, and train a regional marketing team to build campaigns achieving business objectives and goals
• Evaluation of all aspects of live event revenue and ROMI including but not limited to: marketing, advertising, promotion and earned media, research, ticket scaling, sponsorship and sales, non-traditional revenue, and third party partners
• Responsible for all aspects of projects, including meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking/monitoring procedures
• Research, review, identify, and establish new and existing opportunities to drive incremental revenue
• Develop strong relationships with new and potential partners to maximize marketability, activation, and usage of PBR intellectual rights
• Lead and work cross divisionally with internal teams (including Sales, Marketing, Creative, Digital Media, Public Relations, TV, and Finance/Accounting) to communicate all pre- and post-event ticketing, marketing, and promotional execution details to ensure a smooth marketing operations for each assigned event
• Work alongside the PR Department to heighten awareness around all assigned events
• Actively engage with the Consumer Events team to build revenue-driven ancillary events
• Work with Finance/Accounting to manage event budgets and drive cost efficiencies
• Forecast revenue projections, perform risk analysis, and manage investments
• Maintain key metrics and provide weekly marketing and daily ticket sales reports to the SVP - Tour Marketing
• Additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• 5 or more years of marketing experience
• Experience managing and leading a team preferred
• Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
• Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and campaigns
• Experience developing, managing budgets and forecasting skills
• Demonstrated successful experience in making written and oral presentations as well as negotiating with media and partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority at one time – delivering results on time and under budget
• Ticketing and scaling experience or venue box office management experience
• Sports or live event marketing experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote)
• B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Economics, Business, Journalism, Public Relations - preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Normal business hours 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work
• Travel to live events, on-site visits, and necessary business meetings up to 40% of the time
