Writer, E-Commerce (Freelance)

Responsibilities

E! News Digital is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated writer to join its Shop With E! team. The ideal candidate will be assigned and expected to pitch daily e-commerce story ideas and be responsible for day-to-day content upkeep online.

Responsibilities:
• Write both assigned and self-pitched daily e-commerce content
• Assist in building out monthly e-commerce content calendar
• Assist social team with e-commerce content creation
• Coordinate with research to track analytic insights to aid and optimize content strategy
• Monitor competitors and industry trends
• Other duties as assigned
• May be asked to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a shopping, pop culture or marketing writer
• Understanding of the E! News brand voice

• Ability to write copy cleanly, quickly and efficiently
• Has an eye for trends, both in terms of lifestyle/fashion and pop culture
• Familiar with top entertainment and lifestyle sites and blogs, and with current celebrity news
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities and to seamlessly move from project
to project throughout the day
• Hard-working, dedicated and detail-oriented
• Experienced in content creation for various social media platforms and writing for SEO
• Ability to thrive in a culture that is both creative and process-driven
• Digitally savvy with experience working in a CMS and a knowledge of key industry trends and
platforms
