Role Purpose:
E! News is the pre-eminent destination for entertainment news and pop culture commentary across TV, its digital properties, and social media. It is one of the core pillars of the E! multi-platform brand.
We're looking for a collaborative and curious ''hands-on'' partner to help support E!'s News digital research team. This person will work closely with the Director of Digital Research and Social Analytics to provide an in-depth understanding of our News audience, its behavior on EOnline.com, the E! News app & a variety of social/distributed platforms, and how to create the best content and user experience to deepen users' connection with the E! brand and drive monetization. This person will also interface regularly with E! Television ratings/research group, E! Ad Sales research group, and the Consumer Insights team to ensure an integrated and comprehensive view of the News fan across the E! linear & non-linear ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day contact for performance metrics and reporting for E! News across all digital platforms, including O&O, distributed and social platforms
• Partner with E! News editorial and social teams to deliver actionable insights to guide short-term & long-term content strategy for digital platforms
• Develop a deep understanding of audiences' content behaviors throughout their lifetime and their correlation with retention and growth (LTV)
• Build and maintain dashboards utilizing Adobe Analytics & Workspace
• Build and maintain data visualization tools, such as DOMO & Tableau, to readily respond to recurring data questions & encourage self-service access to data
• Work with product/technology team on scope, development, and implementation of analytics measurement to ensure quality and relevant data capture, as well as development and execution of UX A/B testing
• Regularly assess the quality of service and product delivered by 3rd party digital vendors and make recommendations on better leveraging these resources to digital analytics leadership
• Competitive analysis: positioning versus others in the competitive set to generate new ideas; find areas of potential strength and weakness with us vs. competitors
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of experience in digitally-focused news or entertainment organization (news, publisher, television network with pure-play digital arm)
• Proven experience in analyzing and interpreting social video analytics (Facebook Insights, Snapchat Publisher, Twitter Analytics, Youtube Analytics, TikTok)
• Experience with Adobe Analytics / Workspace, data visualization platforms (DOMO, Tableau), Social Listening tools (ListenFirst, Nielsen Social/Talkwalker), Social Analytics (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), 3rd party traffic measurement platforms (comScore, Nielsen)
• Substantial product knowledge and the ability/curiosity to stay up to date on algorithm modifications, industry news, platform changes
