Job Description
Responsibilities
DreamWorks Animation Television is seeking a production attorney for its television group.

Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate production services agreements with animation studios, contributors and service vendors (domestic and international).
• Draft and negotiate a variety of above-the-line agreements for animated series, specials and short-form content, including rights acquisition agreements and agreements for writers, voice actors, producers, and consultants.
• Serve as day-to-day legal liaison with senior production staff.
• A dvise and interface with all key company departments, including content security, production,accounting, finance, labor and employment, marketing, consumer products, insurance, tax, distribution, trademark, and clearance teams on matters related to service vendors and animated series.
• Be responsible for all legal aspects of assigned series, including drafting chain of title documentation and documentation summarizing talent approvals, consultations and rights.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Member of California Bar and JD from top-tier accredited law school.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a motion picture studio, production company, network, law firm or other relevant experience.
• Superior drafting, negotiation, communication and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadline.
• Ability to build interdepartmental relationships at all levels.

Desired Characteristics
• Transactional experience. Experience drafting and negotiating production services, animation and live-action television contracts and/or other entertainment contracts a plus.
