About the Role

Successful Farming is looking for a Producer to lead video and audio production. This is a Des Moines-based role that is responsible for creating content for editorial and custom client programs that are on trend, on time, and on budget. This person will be adept at surveying the video and audio landscapes, evaluating opportunities for our brand and for our clients, and implementing concepts that meet goals and objectives.

This is a hands-on production role; this person will actively capture and edit content. They will have expertise producing compelling short-form, long-form, and social-first video. They will also have a proven ability to develop engaging podcast content. Therefore, proficiency operating video equipment, audio equipment, and video and audio editing software is required. Access to a cohort of talented and professional freelancers is beneficial. Across all projects and personnel, stellar production values will be vital.

This person must be collaborative, energetic, organized, professional, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience creating content for the agriculture industry is beneficial, but not required. Relevant ag-adjacent industries such as outdoor recreation, automotive, equipment/machinery, human interest, etc., are also attractive.

II. Essential Job Functions

Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
• Manage and develop video and audio production for Successful Farming editorial programs and sold custom client projects.
• Continually survey the video and audio landscapes, evaluate opportunities for our brand and for our clients, and bring findings to the team.
• Brainstorm video and audio content opportunities with Successful Farming editors and sales staff. Help editors incorporate video and audio into their content plans.
• Manage the distribution of finished content to respective platforms, including audio streaming networks, radio stations, social media, YouTube, and others.
• All other duties assigned.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or Journalism preferred or highly relative work experience.

Experience:

4-6 years in a full-time production position at a publisher, media company and/or agency.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Gmail is required
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition is required
• Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Experience working with clients is a bonus
• Passion for and knowledge of agriculture and related industries is a plus
• Experience leading video and audio production is required
• Top-notch organization skills are vital
• A bench of capable and professional video and audio freelancers is a plus

% Travel Required (Approximate): 20%
