I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

We're looking for a collaborative digital content creator with a passion for travel to join our award-winning (and growing) team.

Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing (DDMTM) is an industry leader in custom lifestyle travel content supporting destinations and attractions throughout the country. DDMTM delivers top-tier programs across multiple platforms, incorporating innovative storytelling experiences that raise the profile of our travel clients.

We seek a high-achieving candidate who will bring fresh approaches to narrative, content packaging and interactivity our digital, social media, voice, and video campaigns. Successful applicants will bring experience creating and editing strong branded content that engages consumers across diverse brand voices and styles. Ideal candidates will bring a love for travel and/or a curiosity to explore new places.

Content creation experience on digital and social platforms is a must for consideration. Knowledge of voice, video, and other trending platforms is strongly preferred.

Additional expectations:
• Create outlines for custom digital stories, story packages, and branded destination websites through brainstorming, research, and creative ideation
• Assign stories to writers and edit their contributions for brand qualities and platform requirements
• Write original, concise, and captivating copy that inspires, motivates, and activates targeted categories of travelers
• Contribute to visual plans and conceptual content packages, communicating effectively with art directors and designers
• Understand and execute within social and digital platforms, including a full understanding of CMS procedures and terminology
• Deliver innovative solutions to achieve client goals
• Route content through a multi-step review process in a timely manner.
• Respond to and integrate editorial feedback from clients and other stakeholders
• Organize all project timelines, files, and resources for efficiency and collaboration across the department
• Package and hand off files to technical teams to build final products
• Review and quality-check all digital products
• Adapt to shifting needs while working in a fast-paced environment
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines

A creative portfolio is a requirement for consideration.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

BA in journalism, marketing or related field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience that demonstrates exceptional planning and writing for digital and social media content; the ability to craft messages for various audiences and platforms; expertise.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong digital writing and editing skills; knowledge of and experience with multiple digital platforms; strong interest in tourism market; ability to manage communication and work deliverables across multiple applications, including Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, Slack/Teams, video conferencing, and more.
