Associate Director, Strategy & Marketing

The Associate Director, Strategy & Marketing is responsible for creating and presenting compelling marketing strategies that are rooted in data and insights and that tie directly into client & prospect business objectives. This includes researching and preparing strategic recommendations and POVs for clients and prospects. The Associate Director will work closely with the selling teams to provide insight, direction and scope to research projects. This position reports into the SVP, Strategy and Marketing and will work on Targeted Media Health, People Inc.'s dedicated point of care division. The responsibilities of the job are as follows:
• Responsibility for Account-Level Sales Planning and Associated Marketing Assets
• Ownership of answering 100+ RFPs generating approximately $25M+ in revenue across both our digital and print
• Responsible for the development of sales materials and tactics to sell through to our clients & prospects and all marketing materials including GPs, proposal decks, sell sheets, case studies and various client presentations. These materials need to affirm TMH's leadership in the point of care space and relate tangibly to the People Inc. go to market positioning. Solid working relationships with the TMH Client Solutions Team is a must.
• Drive development of ongoing strategic client recommendations and adapt recommendations as new opportunities/challenges present themselves. Translates industry and marketplace news/data (for both healthcare and media) into easily understood but compelling narratives that our sellers can take to market.
• Be able to establish a working knowledge of each client, their competitors and their landscape. It is especially important to maintain knowledge of TMH performance at the specialty and client level.
• Helps drives collaboration with People Inc. (especially People Inc. Health)
• Develop and Deliver Client Deliverables including responsibility for high quality design
• Work with internal and external creative and production teams to produce marketing assets and client-sold deliverables
• Marketing Assets:
• Help manage assignments given to the Designer, Marketing (from client deliverables to marketing materials). The Associate Director will be responsible for the output of the design team and therefore should have a strong marketing design aesthetic.
• Manage and participate in various miscellaneous activities such as sales events (eg Client events, gifting programs, etc.)
• Client Assets & Non-Guide Post Sale Activities
• Work with People Inc. Content Solutions team on executing all digital content hubs, serving as the conduit between the client and the People Inc. CS teams.
• Manage client deliverables on other sold campaigns such as the execution of posters and newsletters (working with People Inc.'s newsletter team)
• Marketing Assets:
• Help manage assignments given to the Designer, Marketing (from client deliverables to marketing materials). The Associate Director will be responsible for the output of the design team and therefore should have a strong marketing design aesthetic.
• Manage and participate in various miscellaneous activities such as sales events (eg Client events, gifting programs, etc.)
• Ownership of divisional marketing strategies, especially as it relates to affirming TMH's leadership position in the marketplace.
• Establish strategies and tactics across the complete buyers purchase funnel reaffirming our competitive differentiators.
• Works with an in-depth understanding of TMH, the POC competitive set and market and the overall healthcare landscape to ensure that our marketing materials are differentiated and set the industry standard.
• Manage our outgoing marketing: newsletters highlighting our patient-focused activities, newsletters highlighting our HCP-focused activities
• Maintaining our website with up to date information
• Ensure proper TMH brand awareness at all external events including POCMA (point of care marketing association) events & sales activities
• Establish performance metrics and track key performance indicators for all TMH marketing activities.
• Partner With Senior Executives (SVP Marketing and GM/TM) on Innovation, Thought Leadership and Internal Communications
• Influence for our vision with marketing innovation driving the GTM activities around new products and services.
• Collaborate with senior leadership (Exec Directors, SVP Strategy & Marketing, SVP/MD TMH,)) to support larger marketing and brand strategies.
• Contribute to thought leadership
• Establish solid working relationships with peers across relevant the People Inc. category marketing teams
• Other Important responsibilities
• Provide appropriate collateral (i.e. shipping of product samples) to clients/agencies and maintain collateral inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed collateral; placing and expediting orders for collateral, verifying receipt
• Responsible for managing our library of materials, keeping them up to date, and making sure that each respective TMH team is working with the latest information/documents. This includes maintaining a close relationship with our production teams to make sure our materials have accurate close dates.
Hybrid 3x a week- NYC, NY
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:
Have or working toward BA/BS in (marketing, business, technology, and/or related field of study) preferred.

Experience:
8-10 years in pharma/healthcare marketing at a media agency or publisher

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• A working knowledge of the healthcare media marketplace either in a media buying or marketing capacity
• Demonstrated success within the point of care space
• Experience in leading a project team
• Experience with research or healthcare data
• Strong analytical, communication skills
• BA/BS in marketing, business, technology, and/or related field of study
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; solid team player needed
• Facility with story-telling / narrative frameworks
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
• Wordpress and AirTable skills a plus
• Previous experience with developing and packaging healthcare media
% Travel Required (Approximate): 20%

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00
