Associate Director, Creative Production & Development

As the Associate Director, Creative Production & Development your role is a hybrid of creative strategy and hands-on execution, responsible for developing and pitching original, platform-native video concepts while also directing shoots and guiding the post-production process. The Associate Director owns the complete creative lifecycle of assigned video projects, from initial concept through final delivery, while acting as a primary creative voice for their productions, ensuring all content is innovative, aligns with brand strategy, and drives audience growth on key platforms like YouTube.
This role will serve as a senior creative leader on the Central Creative team, dedicated to producing best-in-class video, for both celebrity and non-celebrity content for our iconic brands. The Associate Director displays an 'all hands on deck' and 'can-do' attitude. They are the driving force behind their shoots – creative innovators and stewards of the brands.
Hybrid 3x a week- (NYC or LA)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Positions Contributions:
• Creative Development: Work closely with Sr. Director on creative ideating, developing and executing unique, original concepts and formats for new series and videos that are tailored to platform best practices and strategic brand goals. Rigorously research lanes, topics and talent for established or potential series.
• Production & Directing: Direct multi-camera and doc-style video shoots, managing both celebrity and non-celebrity talent on set or remotely to execute the creative vision and capture compelling content.
• Project Ownership: Manage the entire project scope, timeline, and budget in close partnership with the Production & Post Operations team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
• Post-Production Guidance: Lead the post-production process for your projects, providing clear, constructive creative feedback to editors to guide storytelling, pacing, and style from first cut to final delivery.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact and creative partner for brand stakeholders on your assigned projects, effectively communicating the creative vision and managing feedback.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
• 5-7+ years of experience in digital video production, with a proven track record of both developing and producing high-performing Youtube-first content.
• Expertise in creatively leading projects from concept to completion, including pitching, scripting, directing, and overseeing post-production.
• A strong creative storyteller with a deep understanding of what drives engagement and audience growth on YouTube and other digital platforms.
• Experience directing documentary-style videos, and interviewing both celebrity and non-celebrity talent in a variety of production environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience managing feedback from multiple stakeholders.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• An active consumer of digital video and hyper aware of cultural trends and how they can influence the development of new formats.
• Passionate, curious and willing to collaborate, test and learn

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 California: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00
