Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master for our Advanced Messaging team. As a member of the Advanced Messaging team you will be creating best-in-class tools for our marketing teams to improve their messaging workflows as Disney Streaming continues to acquire and retain subscribers globally during a tremendous growth phase in our streaming offerings.

The Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating process, removing roadblocks and driving the tactical day-to-day delivery and communication process for our team. This role will work directly with Engineering and Product to develop and execute implementation plans that satisfy the prioritized user stories. You will also help keep our developers focused and unblocked, will consistently work to improve our team-wide standards, adoption, and habitualization of best practices. Open to candidates from various locations. Must be within continental US time zone

Responsibilities:
• Gather and provide your dev team with the details and resources needed to define and act on implementation tasks. This can include but is not limited to tracking down specs, Github pull requests, wiki documentation, product/service definitions and use cases, etc.
• Unblock the team, coordinate team dependencies, ensure tickets are flowing from Work Queue to Done in a steady predictable manner
• Keep track of sprint metrics, identify trends and anomalies, coach the team on following our processes and improving our practices
• Schedule and lead routine Agile ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning and kick off, retrospectives, etc.)
• Monitor and prioritize all team needs and requests, represent our team at daily standups, provide highest level of responsiveness to all teams we support
• Perform QA testing as needed; provide fast, friendly feedback to developers, product and stakeholders as appropriate, facilitate iterating quickly
• Work closely with engineering management to create and execute actionable plans and tactics that support our long-term goals and strategy
• Help sustain and improve our methods for measuring our team's success and progress
• Coordinate with other teams to identify needs, priorities, dependencies, and risks
• Work with all members of the team to provide prompt and friendly support to anyone looking for help with our tools and services

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in Technical Project Management
• Practical, real-world experience acting as a Scrum Master on an Agile Scrum team
• Strong troubleshooting skills, great attention to detail, thorough and diligent in the pursuit of goals and objectives
• Good consultative, customer focus & service skills
• Enthusiastic, highly motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and run effective meetings
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork
• Must be able to accommodate and overlap with a distributed team over multiple time zones
• Desire and eagerness to learn new things

Necessary Skills
• JIRA, Confluence, Github, Jenkins, Slack
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, influence decisions and drive consensus across many levels within the organization
• Must be able to navigate strong personalities and opinions with clarity, compassion and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with digital marketing and message campaign technologies
• Agile Scrum Master Certification
• Experience building complex, mission critical, systems that scale globally
• Software engineering / Software Development Life Cycle
• Education / training / certification in computer science and/or digital marketing-related focus areas
• Lean startup/Lean enterprise advocates a plus
