Technical Account Manager (Direct to Consumer)

Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. Disney's Technical Account Management (TAM) and the Partner Growth team's mission is to grow Disney's Direct to Consumer (DTC) experiences with strategic distribution partners for Disney's DTC services. This includes working with the top mobile and connected TV devices, and wireless, Telco, and MVPD operators. The team is responsible for establishing positive relationships with each third party to advocate for Disney's product and technology initiatives across a broad range of global distribution partners.

The team is responsible for establishing positive relationships with each third party to advocate for Disney's product and technology initiatives across a broad range of global distribution partners.

Responsibilities:
• Support TAM team in managing the day-to-day relationships with third party partners ensuring delivery of successful integrations and platform launches.
• Establish strong relationships with global distribution partners to identify new capabilities, features, and requirements to provide implementation recommendations to internal business, product, and technology teams.
• Educate and persuasively advocate for Disney's DTC product and technology interests to third party distribution partners.
• Manage requirement identification and technical integrations with third party distribution partners necessary to align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal product and technology stakeholders to identify challenges and blocking issues that require resolution with third party partners.
• Collaborate with internal legal, sales, and business development teams to drive distribution deals to support product and technology goals.

Basic Qualifications:
• At least 5+ years of experience in a technical account management, product/technical management role
• Understanding of streaming media consumer electronics (CE) devices and platforms (e.g., Web, mobile, connected devices, living room devices, set top boxes, etc.)
• Knowledge of live and VOD streaming video solutions for OTT and Direct to Consumer services
• Experience in managing cross functional teams in complex technology integration projects.
• Knowledge of application development across multiple platforms
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively through demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to translate complex technology requirements into business impacts and vice versa.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability to dive deep into complex challenges, identify solutions, and provide recommendations to product, technology, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Superior customer relationship and account management skills including ability to influence/advocate Disney's DTC product/technology initiatives and uncovering implementation requirements.
• Ability to uncover the true business objectives and technology requirements to drive towards successful launches with each distribution partner.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading complex end-to-end technology integration launches for digital media and streaming video (live and VOD) solutions. Proven track record of establishing positive relationships with external third parties and internal product, technology, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience working with third party consumer electronics partners, technology partners (SoC, middleware, STB OEMs, etc.), and platform distribution partners. Experience in video streaming technology (video playback, encoding, packaging, DRM, CDN, ads, etc.)
• Experience working on global teams that are geographically separated.
• Strong passion and background in digital media and video (live and VOD) streaming.

Education:
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent years technical experience in product, media, video streaming, or related technical field.

The hiring range for this position in WA is 107,338 - $143,990 per year, the hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $102,500 – $137,500 per year, the hiring range for this position in NY is $107,338 - $143,990 per year and the hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $112,258 - $150,590 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

This position is with Hulu, LLC, which is part of a business we call Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution.
