Sr Software Engineer

Job Description

Disney Streaming is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join the SDK Core Operations team within the Apple, Android, and Web organization.

The SDK Core Operations team provides operational tools and support for SDK features and services of the Disney Streaming platform. The SDK is the client side component for interacting with Disney Streaming services, and is used by application developers across multiple disciplines to simplify integration with our backend services. The right person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment, and loves problem solving; is an excellent communicator; uses data to answer questions and drive decision making; and loves to learn new things.

You will contribute to designing new tools and automation systems to support development, testing, and deployment of the latest Disney Streaming applications and technologies across Disney+, ESPN+, MLB.tv, NHL, Hulu, and Star+. Responsibilities:
• You will develop code and processes for the SDK configuration service, the backbone of the DS SDK across all streaming products
• You will work within a cross functional team of engineers building software in a collaborative development environment
• You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and product owners to define product requirements and develop new features of the SDK configuration service

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient with JavaScript
• Experience with REST API services
• Experience with full-stack web-based application development is a plus
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) is a plus
• Experience with debugging and problem-solving

Additional Information:

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $117,752 to $157,960 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

This role is considered remote, which means the employee will work remotely on an ongoing basis and will not have an assigned workspace at a Company designated location.
