Sr Product Manager (Project Hire)

DE&E Technology's Content Platforms is responsible for defining technology solutions, product requirements and roadmaps, plus training and support of critical applications used by business partners who are reliant on the global content supply chain. This team also enables software capabilities and workflows, spanning content planning & greenlight, distribution rights & sales management, marketing enablement, asset management & distribution, and monetization through content accounting & revenue recognition.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to collaborate with multiple business end-users, third-party vendor(s), software engineering team members, and other Product professionals. The Senior Product Manager will split their time across both iterating upon applications built in-house and the implementation of various SaaS applications in the Disney Music Group (DMG) technological eco-system. This role will work to refine designs, properly scope, and document epic/feature/user stories in an Agile working environment, as well as work with our SaaS vendors to present findings, and work with team members and stakeholders towards solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
• Serve as a Senior Product Manager for the Repertoire Management product team delivering a products that solve problems through web interfaces to deliver a new, innovative integrated service to our business users.
• Facilitate requirement sessions with stakeholders, properly prioritize features and creates comprehensive requirements for delivery team.
• Drive consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs.
• Document epics, features, and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Use Agile best practices, as well as pragmatic ingenuity, to build requirements and stories with the primary goal of consistent incremental delivery of MVP and multi-phased product solutions.
• Work with multiple stakeholders – engineers, other product owners to create, iterate, maintain and communicate product roadmaps.
• Collaborate and coordinate across the music portfolio of products to drive and solve any dependencies (inter or intra)

MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Info Mgmt or Computer Science

Required Skillset: demonstrate competency across the core qualities:

Effective Communication - including extensive experience w/ application end users Ability to solve Problems - identifying multiple relevant scenarios Critical thinking & analytical thinking Process Modeling knowledge (+ documentation)

Experience and Skills
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management required
• Experience working with various SMEs across various workflows
• Experience with integration between applications and ETL systems (upstream/downstream data delivery)
• Experience working with SaaS vendors
• Knowledge of phases of Product development – concept, design, development, QA and UAT
• Must be an expert in use case analysis, workflows and process mapping
• Excellent communication skills and great listener
• Solid technical background in modern database and system architecture
• Prior experience working w/ modern DevOps practices and infrastructure
• Working understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
• Experience working w/ AWS infrastructure and environments

Additional Information
• Entertainment domain and enterprise architecture experience are a plus
• Strong documentation skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, Google Suite, LucidChart, etc.)
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar work management tool is a plus
• Experience in Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) is a plus
• SQL skills is a plus

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica/Burbank/Glendale/L.A., California and in Bristol, Connecticut is $136,100 - $182,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
