Job Description
The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly evolving consumer habits. • Manages the team tracking all Disney+ content opportunities from Disney Branded Television, National Geographic, and other TWDC brands and studios across the content lifecycle.
• Develops understanding of audience and business needs and identifies gaps in the content pipeline to fulfill those needs.
• Develops relationships with key managers and executives at Disney Branded Television, National Geographic and other TWDC brands and studios. Utilizes relationships, domain knowledge, and analysis to influence the shape of the content pipeline.
• Generates insights on content performance based on independent analysis.
• Generates and delivers clear and thoughtful presentations to share context, insights, and analysis about the performance of original productions, series, movies and specials.
• Designs and implements new processes, procedures, and methods that improve slate planning outcomes.
• Directly supervises Manager, Slate Management (M2) and professionals under this position.

Responsibilities:
• Oversees all slate planning activities, partnering closely with internal content studio partners, DMED Programming, data, CP&A, and finance teams to secure a holistic view of the content pipeline.
• Generate clear and thoughtful presentations to share context and insights about the performance of Original productions.
• Acts as day-to-day contact for creative partners across TWDC to represent slate intent for Disney+ while balancing creative and operational requirements.
• Managerial/Supervisorial Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in content planning, development, or programming strategy
• 2-3 years of direct management experience
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple demands at once
• Strong ability to create and deliver presentations that effectively communicate solutions and open items for partners and leadership
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Needs to be an effective, collaborative, communicator, with an ability to lead through influence rather than by hierarchy.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
