Job Description
SUMMARY

As a Software Engineer, you will be joining Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology's Growth & Commerce Platform Client Gateways Team. Our team provides easy-to-use APIs that accelerate our client teams' ability to customize user experiences that accelerate subscriber growth and simplify account management. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and quality engineers in a fast-paced and exciting environment. You value readability in your code, and are mindful of maintainability. You take pride in delivering your work with high quality, and are willing to get creative to unblock yourself and your team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Develop code that powers our APIs and services, written in TypeScript
• Ensure quality by writing and carrying out unit, integration, and load tests
• Actively participate in code and design reviews

WHAT TO BRING:
• Proficient in server-side development
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent debugging skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to find compromises that move the team forward
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $112,600 to $151,000 per year and in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $118,000 to $158,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
