Job Description
We are looking for a talented engineer to join a team working on creating the next generation of interactive experiences and tools at Disney Streaming.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Research and Development team, you will help us push the boundaries of what is possible on the client. You'll work with a team of other developers and project managers to help build emerging features for our suite of streaming apps. You are highly proficient in languages like JavaScript, Rust, Python, or C# and appreciate the details that make for an exceptional user experience. You demonstrate enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Build out new features and enhancements using Rust, Typescript, and more.
• Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and UX designers to develop and integrate features.
• Enforce code quality through test driven development and code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Continuously take advantage of opportunities to learn and teach others.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years building scalable production-quality multiplatform experiences.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals and varying skill levels.
• Experience working within a diverse array of languages and a desire to learn!
• Strong understanding of design patterns, security principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to integrate with service APIs or SDKs and a critical eye for specifics and potential extensions.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with streaming video, large data applications, and analytics suites.
• Experience with Rust, Python, TypeScript, C#, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with early and emerging technologies.
• Ability to create accessible, but thorough documentation for a diverse audience
• Familiarity with vibranium metallurgy, Genovian culture and customs, or hyperdrive motivators is a plus.
