Job Description
This is a 6 month fixed term contract position and requires you to be in the office 4 days per week.

Disney are looking for a strategic, experienced and creative Senior Social Media Manager to help the team deliver a new social strategy at the heart of Disney+, in support of our business
objectives . This role will take an insight-driven approach, using the performance of our social media channels today, and known best practices, to define our key metrics of success and our strategic approach for the coming year.

This role will be tasked with driving talkability and engagement around our shows, working in step with our owned, earned and paid channels as part of a holistic content and platform strategy.

They will support the team across paid, organic, campaign and always on activity to ensure each activity delivers on the agreed social strategy. Also, within the social strategy this person will have the opportunity to build our social strategy for local originals.

This person will be a social media expert and provide advice internally on how to best utilise social media and maximise the reach of our content across social platforms.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities
• In step with the Director, work with the team and our agency to deliver Disney+ EMEA's FY23 social media strategy
• Implement plan for FY23 strategy and content campaigns , working with the Social media team to roll out across core EMEA markets
• Oversee the Disney+ ambassador programme (influencer) working with our retained agency and a junior member of the team
• Shape and deliver FY23 targets with supporting framework for measurement
• Build EMEA wide relationships to maintain creative benchmarks for Disney+ EMEA social creative and content output, support the markets and raise bar creatively
• Shape best practice for
operational processes and dependencies for Social, recommend optimisations
• Embed best practice knowledge within the team including a consistent tone of voice
• Line management of Disney+ EMEA Social team and contribute to a positive team culture

The Experience We Require From You
• Ideally from a senior position in a social department and/or at a specialist social agency preferably in TV and entertainment
• You're comfortable both setting strategies and delivering outcomes from the plan
• You have an impressive understanding of the UK social media landscape, from understanding what can cut through where to know what will drive engagement rates while having some familiarity of cultural nuances across EMEA markets
• Content calendar planning – you're confident driving forward planning with a team, ensuring forward planning and maintain upcoming calendars, leading the charge with a holistic view of what's happening.
• Collaboration is your middle name. You love to work with
others, and aren't afraid to speak up from in house partners to external agencies.
• A fantastic understanding of industry standards and legal regulations which apply to both social and influencer marketing
• You'll have a fantastic black book of creators and well established relationships within the industry
• You understand that data is your friend and know how to strike the balance between data and gut feel .
• You're comfortable navigating approval processes, creative guidelines and approval systems  and not afraid to support the junior team to deliver results
• You have experience of publishing first rate social video proven to reach customers, are on top of the latest trends and innovations in social across all social platforms (current and emerging), and act as an ambassador for innovation and encouraging of a test-and-learn approach where possible
• Your stakeholder management skills are second-to-none, working with teams across the UK, global and EMEA markets and able to communicate clearly and persuasively
• You live and breathe social media. Influencers are a part of your DNA and you're always up to speed with the hottest trends, emerging talent and platforms. You'll enjoy developing your experience across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. You are passionate about great TV – across genres, and are able to channel this into your work being consistently curious and looking for ways to innovate
• You have experience managing people and demonstrating their own growth and development as applicable
