As part of the Product Marketing Operations & Tech team, the Senior Product Marketing Operations Manager for data enablement is the primary driver for scaling and operationalizing data capabilities within our team. As the champion of applying data to messaging, you will closely partner with internal team stakeholders across marketing, data and product to create a cohesive messaging data use strategy. You will manage our messaging contact strategy and guidance per compliance rules and overall normative messaging measurement. A successful Senior Product Marketing Operations Manager for data enablement can easily balance being hands-on with code, quickly creating a pitch deck to advocate for a data strategy, partner with a large global team to gain alignment and distribute capabilities that drive high-quality business impact.
Responsibilities:
• Drive data capability discovery and design via PRDs, diagrams and other means to gain and lock requirements for build readiness.
• Manage build via direct coding or partner team dependencies.
• Capability release cycle management and mitigation of any release issues.
• Document data capabilities for operationalization.
• Mitigate compliance risk via proactive review with legal, and documentation and application of guidance.
• Capability adoption through a multi-pronged approach via active training, recordings, documentation and more.
• Platform sustainment via maintenance for the platforms and/or instances we sustain, including: SFMC, Braze, AWS and more.
• Collaborate with cross function stakeholders to identify and define new data capability opportunities and work with other teams to improve how we do data collection, experimentation and analysis.
• Build and manage backup augmentation and/or capabilities for irregular operations to readily address and mitigate issues during non-primary business hours
• Agile practitioner via scrum to balance finite resources against the optimal business opportunity.
Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years in a technical, data, and/or operational role
• 2+ years in writing and maintaining production code (e.g. SQL, Python)
• Production code deployment to our Amazon Web Services instance using Docker, Janus, Jenkins, etc.
• Production experience with APIs to build, maintain and enable monitoring of our data pipelines (e.g. ETL jobs)
• Expert knowledge of SQL programming language
• Experience with data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Segment, SimonData)
• Broad experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, lambda, S3)
• Experience with data visualization and exploration tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, QuickSight, PowerBI)
• Understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis)
• Proficient in agile methodologies and working knowledge of Jira/Confluence
• Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies
• Ability to be on-call, when high priority business needs necessitate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• You have a high bar for quality, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt as we scale
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong SQL skills and ability to create queries to extract data and build performant datasets
• Experience engineering big-data solutions using technologies like S3 and Databricks
• Familiar with metadata management, data lineage, and principles of data governance
• Experience loading and querying cloud-hosted databases such as Snowflake
• Familiarity with automated deployment, AWS infrastructure, Docker or similar containers
• Familiarity with Data Modeling techniques and Data Warehousing standard methodologies and practices
• Awareness with graph-based data workflows such as Apache Airflow
• Familiarity streaming data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, or Flink
• You are a problem solver with strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and communication skills
Basic Education:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Master's degree in computer science or related quantitative field preferred but not required
