Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The Senior Product Manager for Talent Finance will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and leading the strategic roadmap that supports the Residuals line of business. The Senior Product Manager for Talent Finance will have an excellent understanding of the Residuals accounting processes in order to understand business needs acting as primary subject matter expert and strategic partner for the supported business. Builds and maintains strong stakeholder relationships with Business clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of client functions in effort to guide technology priorities and workflow efficiencies. Candidate should be aware of the business and technology trends in the Media and Entertainment industry, preferably with experience in Residuals and other financial contract reporting segments.
Working in a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with engineering, design, and others to reimagine the way we leverage technology to shape the future of our business. You will directly contribute to product strategy and be responsible for building and launching products that meet the needs of the business and delight our partners.
Responsibilities
• Establish relationships with business partners to understand their needs and priorities
• Act as the application subject matter authority, working with clients and partners to both address issues and recommend/implement enhancements
• Apply product management standard methodologies
• Define and maintain a set of strategic product roadmaps within the talent finance portfolio
• Serve as key contact to handle requirements discussions with Residuals business teams
• Review and approve product requirements, ensuring these requirements align with the overall product vision stated in the strategic product roadmap
• Motivate change based on new business processes and business functions working with Residuals and business leadership
• Maintain and communicate project status in the domain of responsibility, as required for technology partners and business partners
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment, and run multiple priorities across a mix of ad hoc and operational projects
Basic Qualifications
• 7 years of related work experience
• Agile certification and 3 years of demonstrated ability using Agile SCRUM methodology in the Product Owner role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed organization, executing on several initiatives concurrently while balancing competing priorities
• Collaborative workstyle with exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Strong communication/presentation abilities with a track record of presenting complex analyses to executives/senior management clearly and concisely
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong partnering skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment
• Proven ability to meet project milestones and customer expectations
• Ability to communicate with all levels of organization
• Responsive to business needs and highly motivated to improve the skills and capabilities of their organization
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools
• Expertise in the entertainment industry is preferred specifically related to Participations, Residuals, Royalties, and/ or studio payroll
• Enthusiasm and interests in Disney brands

The hiring range for this position in California is $149,300- $200,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
