About the Role & Team
This is a 12 month parental cover position and requires you to work from the office 4 days a week and 1 day from home.
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing best-in-class UK campaign strategies for Disney+, at both an overarching brand level and IP specific executions.
The focus, and measurement of success, is to build brand awareness, understanding and consideration of Disney+, and awareness and excitement of high priority content drops, to help drive, in partnership with the performance & retention teams, sign-ups, subscribers and loyalty.
You will manage the UK&I Marketing team day to day, and report to the Director UK&I Marketing. You will also manage the day to day relationships with media & creative agencies as well as more broadly being the point of contact for all lines of business within Disney.
What You Will Do
• Develop industry leading, data led, innovative & effective marketing campaign strategies for Disney+ at a brand and specific IP level, ensuring they are aligned to and are effectively driving broader business goals.
• Oversee the development, execution & delivery of all UK&I brand and content marketing campaigns, on time and on budget.
• Build relationships with key media partners to access new opportunities, beta projects, improved reporting and audience data opportunities.
• Work closely with the UK&I Marketing Strategy, PR & Social, Performance, Partnerships, Product and Retention leads to ensure UK strategy and plans are aligned and integrated.
• Planning and management of UK&I annual plan, including annual brand and content marketing budget.
• Management of UK&I marketing campaign team (managers, supervisors, coordinators, interns), including three direct reports (brand marketing managers).
• Management of the UK media agency.
• Understand the competitive environment from both a platform and content perspective (TV, SVOD & Theatrical), applying insights to gain competitive advantage.
• Lead and mentor members of the marketing team to ensure team is motivated, enthused and excited.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Significant Marketing experience at a Senior level
• Experience working within the Media / Entertainment industry (TV, SVOD or Theatrical)
• Experience managing a team
• Experience working in a regional team and with US and local market counterparts would be helpful
• Ability to oversee and manage high profile, end to end marketing campaigns
• Previous agency management experience
• Previous budget management experience
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong strategic marketing capabilities and implementation skills
• Meticulous organisational skills
• Ability to manage, motivate and inspire teams
• Ability to understand and assimilate large amounts of data – and turn it into actionable insight. Strong presentation and communication skills
