Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing will lead all aspects of acquisition marketing and performance media to drive subscriber growth of Disney+ in Japan. This role will serve as the main liaison between local teams and the centralized global teams to co-create cohesive and profitable marketing strategies, develop processes that streamline operations, and to continuously monitor and optimize performance to maximize subscriber growth. They will own business critical KPIs for the Japan market, such as paid and organic sign ups volume and media efficiency. The ideal candidate is excellent at stakeholder management, has a passion for the digital media landscape and understands the intricacies and unique attributes of every step in the marketing funnel.
Responsibilities:
• Be the key point of contact for cross-functional collaboration between both global and local teams and other LoBs (e.g. channel teams, content marketing, finance, legal, product, etc.)
• Ownership of growth KPIs from both paid and organic initiatives such as SEO
• Lead cross-channel campaign strategy & planning and prepare internal briefs and campaign plans as required
• Identify sources of growth/profitability/efficiency in current or new areas through strategic thinking and creative analytics
• Implement a data-driven approach to testing initiatives based on forecasted impact
• Evaluate market trends and compile detailed competitor analysis (marketing tactics, offers, positioning, pricing, etc.) and creative audits (marketing campaigns, landing pages, and etc.) to inform strategy and testing
• Partner closely with the channel managers in the team (Paid Media, Affiliate Marketing and Partner Marketing Managers) and global teams to achieve market-specific goals
• Improve the team's decision-making quality and investigation abilities around why strategies and projects succeed or fail
• Work with channel teams to ensure our campaigns leverage best in class tactics and the full capabilities of our ad and tech stacks
• Improve and streamline creative development, localization and deployment workflows as necessary
Requirements:
• 6+ years of performance marketing experience, preferably in subscription marketing, app-based service or ecommerce
• Extensive experience in managing various stakeholders in a complex global organization
• Experience in writing creative briefs based on business objectives
• Understands end-to-end funnel marketing, modern KPI measurements, and attribution methods
• Strong understanding of digital media and content landscape in Japan
• Native Japanese fluency and business-level English
