Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Advanced Marketing Analytics is a critical position within Disney Streaming Services (DSS) with the primary responsibility for creating, delivering and continuously improving our acquisition measurement solutions. You will be the in-house expert on our acquisition sciences. You will lead our marketing assessment and effectiveness platforms and have the lead role in evolving how we define and optimize our awareness and acquisition marketing campaigns. Product, Marketing, Brand and Analytics teams will be your partners to execute on innovative methods and best-in-class practices that power all of our marketing efforts by quantifying improvements.

Responsibilities:
• Provide optimization recommendations that drive KPIs established by product, marketing, operations, business teams and others
• Collaborate with cross-functional and business teams to design and build data products that integrate into our marketing operations including attribution modelling and media mix modelling
• Mine internal user and response data to develop targeting models, decision rules and response forecasting
• Develop test and learn strategies related to targeting, creatives and other variables to improve end-to-end conversion throughout the funnel
• Collaborate with other Disney technology leaders across the world to bring best practices and build a balance of local to regional and global solutions

Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of media/market research experience with a strong focus on testing, audience development and optimization
• 5+ years of professional advanced analytics or data science experience
• 5+ years of professional experience using data-building and statistical programming languages: Python, R, SQL
• 3+ years leadership experience (includes people management, mentoring interns, technical leadership, and project management)
• Practical experience and expertise in applied statistics and data science methodologies (general advanced data modeling and predictive analytics e.g., multivariate regression analysis, machine learning, forecasting, Bayesian estimation)
• Extensive television and/or digital media analytics experience, including significant exposure to content, product and paid media
• Experience working across marketing platforms such as Kochava, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Tag Manager, Flashtalking, Google Ads, Campaign Manager, DV360, Bing Ads, Facebook, BlueKai and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Datorama
• Demonstrated understanding of ETL concepts including data integration pipelines, staging tables, incremental loading, data quality and business logic
• Experience developing and implementing strategic plans, and operating marketing technology platforms on an enterprise scale
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of current best-in-class technology and digital architectures, including local and global approaches
• Knowledge and understanding of linear and digital syndicated product offerings and a sophisticated understanding of the challenges facing comprehensive audience measurement
• Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem, particularly with expertise in digital content consumption, video, OTT and social environments
• Excellent visualization and storytelling skills to be able to effectively communicate data insights in easy to understand and actionable manner
• Strategic thinker with ability to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and keep ahead of industry trends.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced highly iterative environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with demonstrated ability to organize and schedule work effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a subscription business
• Experience within the media entertainment industry is highly desirable and strongly recommended
• Skilled in general ad technology, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Data Management Platforms (DMPs)

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in relevant focus (i.e., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or Machine Learning)
