Job Description
Disney Entertainment (DE) is one of the three major business segments of The Walt Disney Company, consisting of Disney's entertainment media and content businesses, including its motion picture film studios, Disney General Entertainment Content, streaming services, and international media businesses.
The Content Planning & Analysis (CP&A) function reports into the Direct to Consumer organization. The CP&A team collaborates closely with stakeholders across Disney Entertainment (DE), including finance and strategy, data analytics, research, operations, and programming teams.
Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Content Planning & Analysis will be responsible for analytically evaluating the investment and performance of the content on the various Disney Streaming platforms (Disney+ and Hulu) and across multiple distribution windows. This role will work on projects involving different content categories/genres, with a particular focus on international markets and content, as well as portfolio level analyses, third party licensing deal tracking and valuations, distribution and windowing decisions, and executive-level analysis and reporting for leaders in Disney Entertainment (DE). The role will also contribute to the development and application of analytical methodologies and KPI tracking for assessing the performance of content. This role will include structuring and building sophisticated financial and data models for the evaluation of DTC content investments.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Conducting analyses of portfolio and title-level content performance (generally using Excel or other data language tools to manipulate and interpret large sets of data) - 30%
• Building models to inform deal valuations, greenlight decisions, and target-setting for different content types - 25%
• Creating presentations, including using effective visualization, to summarize insights on portfolio/brand/genre/title performances - 15%
• Developing and updating title performance forecasts - 15%
• Maintaining standard datasets and presentation materials, such as slate files and performance rankers, and support team's ongoing metadata enhancement efforts - 15%

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• 4-year degree in relevant fields with strong academic performance.
• 3+ years of work experience preferably in consulting, investing banking, finance/strategy roles at media/technology companies, or other quantitative fields
• Demonstrated interest in streaming entertainment and the international entertainment landscape
• Experience using SQL/Python/R a plus
• Candidate must be highly analytical with superior communication skills and someone who can thrive in a fast-paced and matrixed organization
• Possess intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity
• Must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively in collaborative and autonomous environments
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including highly advanced Excel modeling skills
• Must have high organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate the needs of a project/workflow or leadership
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and analysis
• Fluency in building visualizations of complex data sets and proficiency with PowerPoint
• High EQ and professional maturity, with demonstrated ability to engage at an executive level
The hiring range for this position in California is $124,900.00-$152,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
