Production Associate (Marketing Promo) (ABC News)
The Production Associate supports and contributes to the daily production of ABC News Marketing & Creative, including on-air and off-air news promos, internal and external sizzle presentations, radio promos, show elements, and the list goes on and on. They are responsible for many critical and timely areas of production daily. From researching, screening, assembling, creatively editing on Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro, creating QuickTime and MP4 files, and organizing video and graphic assets in multiple formats, to coordinating highly critical ''day of air'' responsibilities. In addition to research and support, this position is responsible for detailed record keeping, interaction with voice–over talent and a wide array of cross functions. The role will report to the VP, Marketing for ABC News.
Responsibilities:
• Support Producers by screening, researching, pulling assets used for promos, etc.
• Creating files to run in off-air placements, including social media platforms
• Editing on Avid Media Composer
• Keeping detailed records of production music, scripts, voice-over work, etc.
• Being part of the team that produces and distributes daily affiliate promos, with very fast turnaround.
• Supports senior team as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year experience working in marketing, promotions, agency, or a production environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience editing using Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• This role requires the ability to work a fluid and alternating schedule. (Including late nights, some weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.)
• This role requires someone who lives within a commutable distance of our office. (7th Hudson. NYC.) We require someone onsite 4+ days a week.
• Energetic, ambitious, detail-driven, creative - who can hit the ground running.
• Must be able to perform meticulous work under very rigid deadlines.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $55,800 to $74,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
