Job Description
As part of the Product Marketing Operations & Tech team, the Product Marketing Operations Manager for Data Operation Capabilities & Systems is the primary driver of messaging data use case development to expand capabilities. Additionally, you will manage observability systems to ensure operational service level agreements are met. You will closely partner with Data & Analytics and other technical teams to leverage their deep subject matter expertise. A successful Product Marketing Operations Manager for Data Operation Capabilities & Systems champions messaging data use strategy via Marketer and Operational input and easily translates that input with partners in Data Engineering, and other technical teams to syndicate data to our messaging platforms. This role requires advocating a strategy, partnering with a large global team, distributing capabilities through documentation and training, and being hands-on with code to ultimately deliver high-quality business impact.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Marketers, Operations, and other intake teams to define data use cases
• Manage partnership with Data Engineering to build or identify attributes that meet the use case requirements
• Partner with Data Product and technical teams to syndicate use messaging data
• Drive operational service level agreements, and observability requirements through completion
• Monitor and report remediate observability reporting issues
• Identity tooling and protocols that optimally leverage and scale our messaging data capabilities
• Drive and champion messaging data usage documentation, and knowledge sharing, which includes training, office hours, and other forums
• Align data use with compliance requirements in a stage gated manner, and conduct or support periodic data usage audits
• Oversee our message performance tracking instrumentation within messaging platforms, and in close partnership with BI reporting
• Identify opportunities to increase data throughput to near real-time marketer/user action
• Present regular messaging data capability insights to stakeholders
• Document and/or diagram decisions, system or data flows, user flows
• Build and manage backup augmentation and/or capabilities for irregular operations to readily address and mitigate issues during non-primary business hours

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years in marketing data and analytic roles
• Deep proficiency in statistical and experimental methods
• Proficient in SQL, R, Python to complete data exercises
• Proficient in data platforms (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Proficient with messaging platforms (e.g. AWS Pinpoint or SES, SFMC, Braze, Sendgrid)
• An ability to synthesize information and articulate a cohesive story via decks/presentations
• Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies
• Passion for velocity, enabling the team to scale through superior project management
• Analytic orientation and curiosity, using insights to drive your next course of action
• An understanding and administration of data best practices
• Superior presentation, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience supporting a globally distributed stakeholder team
• Self-motivated and directed, with a drive to exceed user expectations and enable marketers
• Proficient in agile methodologies and working knowledge of Jira/Confluence
• You have a high bar for quality, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt as we scale
• Ability to be on-call, when high priority business needs necessitate

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in an operational role
• IAPP certification: CIPT, CIPM, CIPP
• ISACA certification: CRISC and/or CISA
• Template scripting (e.g. AMPscript, Liquid, Handlebars)

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent practical experience
