DE&E is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines. Product Management drives work intake and supports partners with prioritization, develops business analysis and requirements, creates, and communicates roadmaps, develops business cases, facilitates quarterly reviews, provides regular transparency across all work efforts, and delivers on key programs that drive efficiencies and leverages DE&E Technology on a global scale. These teams are aligned to the business stakeholders across the entirety of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) who depend on products and services delivered by Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology.
Job Summary:
Describe what the person will do in the role - how he/she will impact the organization.
As part of the Content Operation's Title Management team, this position will partner with business stakeholders in the Title Management space to build systems and solutions that: identify and manage a piece of Content Intellectual Property (feature film or series/season/episode), its descriptive metadata (synopsis, release dates, cast, etc.), associated variations (versions, bundled product), and associated components (bonus) throughout a content title's lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for conducting stakeholder interviews and creating supporting documentation, including process workflows and functional requirements. They will also be responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog and roadmap. The candidate should be aware of the business and technology trends in Media and Entertainment, preferably with experience in metadata, master data and/or supply chain.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Discovery & Documentation: Interview business partners to understand their processes and needs and translate those into executable product strategies. Communication: Engage business partners on a regular basis for process flow documentation, requirement gathering and requirement clarification. Must have a strong understanding of technical methodologies and be able to communicate requirements to technology teams. Provides periodic updates/presentations on roadmaps and initiatives to DMED Technology leadership and business partners. Strategy & Planning: Work with key business and technology partners to understand current processes and define future state strategies and roadmaps, that drive efficiencies and leverage DMED Technology on a global scale. Work as an individual contributor to execute product strategy in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and other functional areas. Partner with other product owners to ensure individual systems achieve larger, holistic business needs. User Stories/Backlog: Write epics and user stories, as well as plans and prioritizes the feature backlog and delivery roadmap. Change Management: Work with business partners to resolve any issues and mitigate risks. Facilitates cross team collaboration in an effort to identify business process solutions and/or opportunities that help the business realize their objectives. In addition to above any other duties needed to help achieve Business Objectives
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Minimum and Preferred. Inclusive of Licenses/Certs (include functional experience as well as behavioral attributes and/or leadership capabilities)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of product management experience
• Experience conducting business partner discussions to define functional requirements, with a progression in complexity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to distill information accurately and convey it (verbally and/or written) to business partners and internal technology teams
• Demonstrated experience collaborating across functional teams
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability with impeccable follow-through
• Strong prioritization and organization skills with experience juggling time-sensitive requests from multiple business partners
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed organization, executing on several initiatives concurrently while balancing competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Expertise in the entertainment industry (having worked in a studio, production company, agency, distributor)
• Experience in metadata, master data and/or supply chain.
The hiring range for this position in California is $112,600 - $151,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
