Job Description
Part of The Walt Disney Studios, the Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for The Walt Disney Company, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.
This role will specialize in many different elements of physical and digital graphics preparation and archival within the Product Development team. The Product Development Specialist will work closely with various departments at DMG and within Disney Studios. This role will also be responsible for providing assets to sheet music partners and for relaying copy changes and creative direction.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for crafting packaging copy, proofing, routing, delivery, upload and archival of graphics for DMG, using various applications like Workfront, DMG Schedule, Dnote and Wonderland as needed. In addition, handle various Sales and Marketing asset requests.
• Manage processes needed to coordinate sheet music, gathering of assets, ingestion, routing, and review, working closely with manager, editorial, and creative staff as needed.
• Provide support with DMG schedule and Dnote updates, as well as assist Product Development Director, Manager and Creative team with various tasks and projects related to research and gathering of art assets as needed.
Qualifications:
• Strong technical aptitude essential
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development or music industry desirable
• Energetic, efficient, excellent time-management skills; this is a FAST-PACED, continually evolving environment
• Attention to detail, problem solving and accuracy is critical
• Highly intelligent and adaptable; quick learner
• Strong work ethic
• Good interpersonal skills; very customer and service focused
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Able to read music
• General knowledge of music industry
The hiring range for this position in California is $59,925 - $77,550 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
