PR Supervisor (Maternity Cover - FTC)
Summary of the role
The role of the PR Supervisor is to work with the CEE PR to deliver effective communications for Media Networks in Poland and Internal Comms across CEE.
The PR Supervisor will help develop and supervise implementation of strategic campaigns designed to deliver standout coverage, and will handle all day to day media relations activities to ensure Disney is represented across all key media sectors. The role also requires close cooperation with agencies.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.
Areas of Responsibility
Strategy and Planning
• Tailor and execute regional strategies in the market including brand building initiatives and programming launches
• Identify opportunities and help plan campaigns and initiatives to support the growth plans for the channels
• Implement global and regional Internal Comms strategies, develop local initiatives and programs
Media Relations
• Build and maintain a comprehensive media database
• Issue and follow-up all key releases and ensure the channels are listed in all key TV guides
• Devise creative story angles and proactively seek out opportunities to deliver stand-out coverage
• Handle press enquiries and build/maintain excellent relationships with key consumer and trade media with a focus on national, broadcast, TV listings, kids press, trade (broadcast / marketing) outlets as well as online
• Supervise and support PR agencies in how they build media relations on behalf of Disney
Assets
• Draft creative consumer and corporate press releases, feature copy, messaging / Q&A docs and other media collateral as appropriate
• Deliver regional assets to agencies and ensure that they are used as appropriate
• Prepare internal communication messages
General
• Deliver all relevant PR and internal events
• Liaise with and manage PR agencies as appropriate
• Implement reporting systems to ensure CEE PR are in the loop on all activity
• Devise simple and effective evaluation systems and deliver campaign / project reviews to the CEE PR
Areas of Accountability
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
• Keen and experienced professional with the ability to communicate in English (verbal / written)
• PR experience (ideally 3-4 years) preferably broadcast / media based with a genuine interest in television and content
• Agency experience is preferred but not essential
• Proven track record of successful delivery of media campaigns
• Strong media contacts across consumer and trade media
• Ability to deal with people at all levels inside and outside TWDC
• International experience useful but not essential
Skills Required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of the CEE media landscape
• Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to changing deadlines and timelines
• Ability to drive projects from start to finish and managing multiple assignments
• Proactive with the ability to seek out opportunities to promote Disney Channels in the media
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate effectively at all levels with internal stakeholders, media and other parties
