Job Description
A dedicated, dynamic Operations & Events Team Specialist (Publicity) with a passion for the entertainment industry, strong understanding of the PR landscape as well as proven experience is needed for the Walt Disney Studios Global Publicity Team.
The primary function of this role is to support the Global Publicity Operations & Events Team in the execution of theatrical and streaming global publicity campaigns for Walt Disney Studios, Disney+ and Hulu features and series. This position will interact with all members of the PR department and other key marketing stakeholders to ensure campaign objectives are met, and plans are updated as direction changes. The Specialist must possess flexibility and be willing to assume challenges and increased responsibility, as well as keeping an eye out for ways to improve workflows/increase efficiency within his/her team. He/she must have a strong desire to grow within the job and learn more about Studio Publicity and key initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
• This Specialist will work with all members of the Global Publicity Team to help execute campaign objectives and handle operations for assigned campaigns, which include managing:
• Visa procurement across all titles and brands. Prepare and execute complete visa filings in accordance with government requirements in partnership with internal and external partners.
• Liaise with internal Immigration, hiring of outside counsel, using vendors for both new visa's, renewals and even passports.
• Manage travel booking logistics for overflow travel needs inclusive of domestic and international commercial and private flights, cars, greeters, hotels and train.
• Negotiate private flight costs.
• Talent Relations Coordination, organize all talent requests that pertain to Park Trips, Gifting, Charity, Ticketing and Life Milestones.
• Manage and compile campaign milestones and all other relevant planning documents.
• Collaborate daily with Director on global campaign travel and visa plan development and communicate to PR department, Marketing, Comms and Strategy Teams as requested.
• Liaise with internal Marketing Team to complete daily tasks on time.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience- Film Studio and Publicity experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Positive can-do attitude with a strong proactive initiative to follow-through
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build professional relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors
• Organized and pays attention to detail
• Advanced experience with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Advanced communication skills, both oral and written – internal and external
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $70,000 to $93,800 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
