Job Description

Disney Entertainment Labor Relations is looking for Labor Relations Manager to provide critical support to the Labor Relations team. The candidate must be highly organized, adept at managing time and competing priorities frequently with tight deadlines. The individual must be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, and thrive in a cooperative, team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support lead attorney in union grievance meetings and Arbitration Hearings by
• performing arbitration research
• preparing exhibits
• helping interview witnesses
• Support the lead attorney in collective bargaining negotiations by
• responding to union information requests,
• maintaining logs of union and Company proposals and counter proposals,
• taking negotiation session notes,
• coordinating with Company business units with regards to proposals, and
• coordinating negotiations logistics
• Support the team in contract administration after negotiations by
• drafting memoranda of agreement and full contract,
• liaising with Company business units to implement new contract terms.
• Respond to daily payroll inquiries.
• Complete monthly, bi-annual, and annual required reporting to unions and Taft Hartley Funds
• Respond to Taft Hartley Fund audit requests.
• General electronic filing of contracts and correspondence
• General scheduling of meetings and calls with managers and union representatives regarding collective bargaining administration

Basic Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of related experience within labor relations, business affairs, and/or legal affairs.
• Experience working as a paralegal or in a labor relation, business affairs, or legal affairs department of an entertainment company a plus.
• Must be skilled in Excel, Word, and Outlook. NetDocs, Zoom and PowerPoint a plus.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail, proven by the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision.
• Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including clean grammar;
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables;
• Desire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being asked, to build solid inter and intra-team relationships.
• Takes initiative and pride in work and is not afraid to make suggestions or propose alternative ways of doing things
• A positive outlook, a can-do attitude, and a calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Paralegal certification a plus

The hiring range for this position in New York is $114,480 to $157,410 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
