Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Marketing is the global marketing arm of The Walt Disney Studios. Our business is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity, and promotion of every movie released theatrically by the Walt Disney Studios – Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Animation, Pixar, Disneynature, and 20thCentury Fox. And we're now excited to add to our portfolio, support of our new streaming service, Disney+.

Creative Advertising is responsible for the development, creation, and execution of all creative audiovisual marketing materials for theatrically and Disney+ released live-action and animated films. We determine how to strategically position and market each film within the US as well as assist the international team in creating materials for territories abroad. We also serve as a creative and strategic conduit through which many departments/divisions within the company come for assistance in creating materials, creative direction, or approval. These special relationships are crucial to ensure that one unified campaign is communicated to the public. We work closely with every department within WDSMP and WDSMPI – including creative content, publicity, media, synergy, national promotions, digital marketing, music, and distribution; Disney divisions include Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, theme parks & resorts, Walt Disney Records; Disney Store, publishing, Disney Interactive Studios, Disney Channel, consumer products, etc. We also maintain collaborative relationships with our partners in Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney+, and 20thCentury Studios.

This Manager, Creative Advertising role will report directly to the VP and will work across titles with an emphasis on Pixar, Disney Animation, and Disney+.

Responsibilities:
• Assist VP with the strategic planning, development, and creative execution of worldwide audiovisual advertising campaigns.
• Collaborate with VP in discussions with internal and external A/V agencies on creation of marketing materials (trailers, tv ads, radio, out-of-home A/V, digital creative, clips, internal presentation reels, etc.) for theatrical and Disney+ titles.
• Manage the A/V finishing process (preps, music, legal, clearances, etc.), provide creative notes/approvals (mix, GFX, etc.) and ensure final delivery of all assets.
• Effectively track, organize, and log a high volume of incoming and outgoing materials (A/V assets, transcriptions, strategy decks, scripts, promotional partnership material, etc.) in a timely and secure manner.
• Act as primary contact for all incoming requests from Marketing and other LOB/segments both within the company and externally using best practices to communicate clearly and effectively, exercising good judgement and discretion, and problem solving when required.
• Manage all deadlines (media, digital, finishing) prioritizing and multi-tasking with urgency.
• Oversee the transfer of sensitive and confidential materials (assets for meetings, testing/focus groups, legal clearances, etc.) enforcing security protocols and organizing/logging assets shared and notes received.
• Collaborate with Partnerships team on creative direction and assets for co-promotional A/V materials.
• Point person for vendor communication/asset management, including but not limited to managing vendor onboarding, asset sharing (footage, music, graphics, etc.), accounts payable set-up, , invoice processing and contract reviews.
• Assist in campaign presentations including prep and technical A/V playback for meetings.
• Facilitate all invoice approvals and budget allocations tracking budget spend.
• Manage misc. projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of marketing/advertising experience – preferably within the entertainment industry.
• 2+ years of direct experience in the finishing execution of audiovisual materials – preferably for both theatrical and streaming titles.
• Audiovisual production and finishing experience/knowledge required – preferably for both theatrical and streaming titles.
• Advanced experience in project management, understanding of deadlines, financials, and asset management.
• Experience interfacing with high level executives and filmmakers.
• Must be highly organized and have a great eye for detail.
• Candidate should have a creative background in advertising/marketing – preferably within the entertainment industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Passion for advertising, creativity, design, and storytelling.
• Experience or knowledge of animation production and processes.
• Thrive in working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Effectively problem solves and communicates using resources available while exercising good judgement and discretion.
• Represents the team in a cordial & professional manner when working with other offices, executives, and filmmakers, as well as business unit contacts and external partners.
• Demonstrate the ability to be proactive and resourceful.
• Able to juggle many different projects in various degrees of completion at the same time.
• Leadership abilities and able to work independently and as a team.
• Have a strong understanding of copywriting.
• Comfortable with working extended hours and sometimes weekends.

The hiring range for this position in California is $78,092.00 to $101,060.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
