Manager, Content Programming (Ad Tier)

Disney Streaming encompasses the team's leading the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ streaming services within Disney's Media & Entertainment Distribution group. We sit at the intersection between entertainment, sports, and technology and seek to connect viewers with the stories they love, while driving the streaming industry forward with consumer-first innovation.

Disney+ Content Programming is responsible for ensuring the Disney+ and Star+ global frameworks drive audience engagement and discovery with local relevance. This role will work with cross-functional partners to collaborate on ad tier management and logistics, global frameworks, and daily management of programming tools.

Job Summary:
• Manage Disney+ content programming, promotion, retention, and engagement
• Drive editorial merchandising and promotion strategies
• Develop workflow processes for the ad tier content programming workflow
• Lead a team responsible for ad tier content programming efforts and day-to-day house ad operations
• Act as trusted knowledge source for internal business partners around house ads
• Create high-impact, curated programming events that leverage TWDC brands and franchises
• Communicate campaign plans and recaps to internal teams and cross-functional partners
• Partner with TWDC marketing and global programming teams to ensure all priorities are coordinated appropriately
• Assist with day-to-day global framework management, communication workflow with global teams, campaign calendars, and content programming tools
• Leverage CMS, data, and other tools (Excel, Google Workspace, etc.) to support day-to-day responsibilities
• Help identify and champion content programming framework improvements based on quantitative and strategic inputs
• Facilitate verbal and written communications between teams, and to the larger organization to ensure smooth information-sharing, issue resolution, and workload transitions
• Leverage market and behavior data, audience research to drive data and analytics that determine effective programming strategies

Responsibilities:
• Develop strategic content programming plans that maximize audience engagement and retention
• Collaborate on regional and territorial editorial merchandising and promotion
• Sustain and contribute to title planning, seasonal and cultural moment campaigns, and company tentpoles alignment
• Communicate campaign plans and recaps to internal teams and cross-functional partners
• Leverage CMS, data, and other tools (Excel, Google Workspace, etc.) to support day-to-day responsibilities
• Assist with day-to-day global framework management, communication workflow with global teams, campaign calendars, and content programming tools
• Facilitate verbal and written communications between teams, and to the larger organization to ensure smooth information-sharing, issue resolution, and workload transitions
• Partner with programming data and insights leads to adapt programming efforts based on findings

Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to manage, motivate and build a team
• Excellent communicator, collaborator, and time-manager with meticulous attention to detail
• Superior organizational and prioritization skills; ability to balance multiple projects at once with dedication to quality
• Experience with CMS, data, and other tools (Excel, Google Workspace, etc.) to help operationalize and execute day-to-day responsibilities
• Able to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
• Perpetual learner's attitude, always looking for ways to improve processes and learn and grow
• Team player with a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
• Experience with a video ad server and digital operations
• Must be open to thinking outside of traditional models
• Well-developed written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Advanced data literacy
• Demonstrated ability to thrive working in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Understanding of TWDC and general entertainment content libraries, brands, franchises, and characters
• Real passion for and knowledge of streaming services and entertainment
• Additional language and character set fluency (written) a plus

Basic Education:
• Bachelor's degree minimum
• 2+ years experience in digital media, ad operations, programming, and marketing
• 4+ years experience with general entertainment. International content experience a plus.
