As the Social Impact Apprentice, you will work closely with team members of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team who are delivering our social programmes to ensure everything we do, give, and promote has a meaningful impact within our communities.
This Apprenticeship will provide a fantastic springboard for your future career, giving you an all-encompassing understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility, in particular how impact is measured, checked, and reported.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities on this programme will encompass these three areas:
Governance and Social Impact
Reporting into the Governance and Social Impact lead, you will support the management of policies, toolkits, and guidelines that underpin the company's social responsibility efforts. This includes helping local teams effectively support their communities, responding to charitable donation enquiries, and assisting with the review and processing of requests. You will also play a role in managing data through systems and databases, supporting reporting processes, and identifying trends or areas for improvement to enhance governance and social impact initiatives.
Public Charitable Campaigns and Fundraisers
You will support charitable campaigns and fundraisers, ensuring alignment with social responsibility guidelines. This includes maintaining content and assets, helping to track campaign outcomes, and ensuring consistency in branding and messaging across initiatives. You will work in partnership with the project lead to measure the impact of these campaigns.
Support to the Wider Team
The role also includes providing general team support, such as organising meetings, managing calendars, and administrative assistance. You will also have opportunities to participate in volunteering activities, offering valuable insight into the real-world impact of these initiatives.
Eligibility
• Must have achieved two C's or above at A Levels/BTEC
• Must have achieved 5 grades 4 - 9 at GCSE (C or above) including Maths and English
• Must have the right to work in the UK already in place
• Available to start the Apprenticeship in March or April 2025
About You
This is an Apprenticeship, so we are looking for potential and we do not expect you to have all the skills and knowledge related to the role. We want to see your enthusiasm, eagerness to learn on the job and commitment to your apprenticeship studies. The ideal candidate will have:
• A passion for interpreting data and helping others make sense of it
• An interest in societal issues and doing the right thing
• Enjoys working independently on projects and tasks that require a methodical and logical approach
• A collaborative approach and ability to follow instructions from guidelines
• Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes on short notice
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner
• Ability to prioritise tasks and undertake various administrative duties
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office packages and learning new systems that are used for data recording and reporting
