Job Description

The Media Operations team at Disney Streaming Services consists of agile and responsive analysts that perform the daily processes and procedures of our live and on-demand streaming video products. The team's responsibilities consist of round-the-clock support for these products, ensuring proper functionality across all platforms.

As a Junior DevOps Analyst on our Technical Operations team you will help to shape the technical procedures to be employed by operators in day-to-day business. You will accomplish this by working alongside engineers and software developers to gain insight into how backend services and infrastructure are built and the details of their workflows. This will allow us to better understand how to monitor and support vital workflows that deliver our products to our customers.

In addition, Technical Operations functions as the DevOps for these services teams and carry out certain roles and responsibilities on their behalf such as scaling, triaging, building dashboards and being the Tier 1 on-call support for selected teams.

What you'll do:
• Work side-by-side with our Media Operations team to ensure data, services, media and distribution mechanics function properly to serve all streaming media properties.
• Pro-actively support Media Operations workflows before, during and after live events
• Support engagement efforts between Technical Ops and Engineering teams in an effort to discover, implement and improve day-to-day workflows
• Improve knowledge around Media/User services workflows
• Ability to inspect wide-ranging data sets with a focus on incident resolution
• Provide detailed investigative feedback utilizing detailed knowledge of key proprietary applications
• Develop troubleshooting techniques and creative solutions to complex data problems.
• Inspect data sets and help drive decision making to solving technical issues

What you'll need:
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a technical field (preferably data/devops/engineering)
• Understanding of data synthesis and processing from origination to completion
• Familiarity with AWS
• Knowledgeable understanding of 1 or more programming languages
• Curiosity and a commitment to learning
