As a Financial Analyst with DE&E Technology Finance, you will collaborate with senior Technology leaders on a regular basis to prepare strategic financial plans for key forecast periods (annual budget, long-range plan, and quarterly forecasts). You will also work closely with Accounting and Controllership on the recurring quarterly close process. This role will be responsible for running the Product Management functional area under DE&E Technology. Product Management is responsible for driving the overall user experience, growth, and engagement paradigms for our global portfolio of consumer-facing streaming and digital products – including Disney+, Star+, Hulu, ESPN/ESPN+, ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, Star Wars and many more.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis for DE&E Technology.
Responsibilities
• Maintains, improves, and crafts financial models to forecast and analyze technology expenses
• Support the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan, Five Year Plan, and current year forecasts
• Supervises invoices and contractual obligations, reconciles general ledger data, and manages accrual and reclass processes during monthly financial close; partners with Accounting on actualizing P&Ls
• Prepares ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations for various internal team members including Technology, Product, and Finance
• Assist with the assessment of risks and opportunities over the course of the year
• Establish positive relationships and collaborate frequently with key Technology stakeholders, including senior executives, chiefs of staff, budget owners, and engineers, to update forecasts, report actuals, and analyze trends.
Basic Qualifications
• 1-3 years of finance or management consulting experience required, preferably in technology and/or media
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly collaborative with strong problem solving, interpersonal and project management skills
• Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and navigate new systems/databases
• Intellectually curious with a desire to understand the business beyond the scope of day-to-day responsibilities.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or a scientific field
Preferred Qualifications
• Related work experience in FP&A or public accounting
• Experience working cross-functionally with individuals outside of Finance and Accounting
• Experience using SAP, Cognos TM1, Hyperion or other enterprise financial systems

The hiring range for this position in New York & California is $86,700 to $108,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
